It's interesting to see AI roll out. I'm in software engineering here in the US. In a few months I went from laughing at it to using it all day, most days.

One thing I've noticed -- the people best at the really nerdy stuff (accountants who somehow ended up in engineering) are the easiest to replace with AI. In fact many of them don't seem to be using it very much, based on conversations I've had recently.

On the other hand, while software has been amazing as an actually useful application of AI....I'm not so sure about other areas (filmmaking might be another exception...). Right now there's a lot of workslop, mainly because people can generate massive amounts of text without much critical thinking of what they actually want.
