Trade Alert: Tools Of The Trade
Bullish options bets on three picks-and-shovels names: synthetic DNA, life-science instruments, and AI chip packaging inspection.
Winners That Come Back
Our system doesn’t just find new names—sometimes it hands us back old ones. Last week we closed out a February trade on a genomics name for a 336% gain, after one of our Multibaggers accounts called it “the Nvidia of biotech” on our way in. On Friday night, that same name cycled back through our technical screens: consolidating after its run, RSI back in our band, holding above its trend lines. When a stock we know well passes our screens again with a strengthened thesis — this one raised full-year guidance and expects to reach adjusted-EBITDA breakeven by its fiscal fourth quarter — we don’t anchor to our old entry price. We take the new setup.
The Tools Layer
All three of today’s trades are tools names, one layer below the headlines. The genomics name sells the synthetic DNA that biologics, antibody discovery, and AI-driven drug design run on. The second is a life-science instruments maker trading at premium option volatility while its chart quietly repairs. The third sits in the AI-hardware supply chain: its inspection systems were just qualified for 2.5D AI packaging, and management expects advanced-packaging revenue to grow more than 50% this year — the same packaging-and-test bottleneck we added exposure to on Friday.
Volatility remains high across all three, so we’re using it: one net-credit structure where the market pays us to take the position, and two hybrids where financing legs cover most of the cost of uncapped upside.
