We don’t have any Portfolio Armor Top Names trades today. It turns out we already have open options positions in nine of Friday’s top ten names, and we exited a trade in the tenth one last month for a 174% gain.

• Call spread on Viasat (VSAT 28.56%↑). Entered at a net debit of $1 on 7/15/2025; exited at a net credit of $2.74 on 8/6/2025. Profit: 174%.

Instead, today we’ve got three different plays: one speculative trade, one crypto trade, and a hedge.

🔹 Crypto trade: Our crypto checklist signals (derivatives positioning, on-chain activity, exchange flows, and trend structure) suggest now is a good time to go long Ethereum. We’ve structured a bullish bet accordingly.

🔹 Speculative trade: From our Market Watchers list, we’re taking a swing on unusual activity in one mid-cap stock. Options volume in its $20 and $25 strike calls has spiked dramatically (with thousands of contracts trading where there’s normally little action), and it coincided with a surge in readership interest. Looks like something may be brewing, so we’re entering an uncapped bullish trade going out past its November earnings.

🔹 Hedge: Finally, given the uncertainty surrounding a potential government shutdown this week, we used the Portfolio Armor iPhone app to scan for an optimal put hedge on QQQ.
