I’m enjoying my subscription, but I’m not up to speed on these rapid options trading strategies. I’d there some sort of primer on how to get started?

Hi Gordon,

Just to clarify, these aren't really rapid trading strategies. Most of these trades go several months out. There just have been a lot of trades recently, as I've seen a lot of opportunities, but judging from this week's research so far, that may be narrowing a bit.

As far as how to get started, the best way is to use a relatively small amount of money per trade (say, 1% of your portfolio) and start placing the trades, making sure not to pay more or collect less than the max net debit/minimum net credit shown in the alerts, and to place the exit orders shown right after your trade gets filled. You'll get the hang of it by doing.

If you're looking for a basic primer on options and options strategies, the Options Industry Council is a good resource ( https://www.optionseducation.org/ ). Most of what we do here are combos that combine credit put spreads with either long calls, debit call spreads, or calendar spreads.

Thanks! As you say, I’ll just get in there, and learn by doing👍
