No exits this week, as I haven’t gotten back into our core strategy yet (probably will next week), but since I started this Substack in December of 2022, our top names have averaged returns of 16.78% over the next six months, versus SPY’s average of 9.64%. Here’s how our most recent weekly top names cohort to finish its 6-month run has done.
I post Portfolio Armor’s top ten names weekly on this Substack (usually on Thursdays), but they are also available daily on the Portfolio Armor website and iPhone app.
Options
Broadcom (AVGO -0.71%↓). An earnings coinflip trade that came up tails.
Tesla (TSLA 0.00%↑). Mean reversion trade after Elon Musk tanked the stock with his attacks on President Trump on Thursday (elaborated on those a bit here). This could have been a bigger win if Trump hadn’t answered press questions about Elon on Friday morning, expressing his continued displeasure with him. Hopefully Elon makes amends before June 20th, when we have another Tesla trade expiring.
Futu Holdings (FUTU -3.97%↓). One of the contrarian bullish trades we entered during the bear market a few months ago.
Oklo (OKLO 0.00%↑ ). A Portfolio Armor top names trade from last December. As you can see in the chart above, this was our top performing name from 6 months ago.
